Who is responsible for your data
This website, prakashsoni.com, is run by Prakash Soni, an independent digital marketing consultant. Prakash Soni is responsible for the personal information collected through it. For any privacy question, email hello@prakashsoni.com.
What we collect
When you message me on WhatsApp
The chat buttons open WhatsApp. If you send a message, I receive your WhatsApp name, phone number and whatever you write. WhatsApp itself is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
When you book a free consultation
The booking form asks for your name and email address, the date and time you pick, and optionally your company name and a message about your goals.
When you simply browse
- Like every website, the server that hosts this site keeps standard technical logs (such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
- If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It is never sent to us.
- This site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To reply to your message or enquiry.
- To schedule your consultation and email you a confirmation with the date and time.
- To keep a record of our conversation if we go on to work together.
- To protect the booking form from spam and abuse.
We do not add you to a mailing list, sell your information, or use it for advertising.
We rely on your consent when you choose to book a call or message me, on the steps needed to discuss a possible engagement with you, and on our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
Who we share it with
We only use the service providers needed to run the site, its booking form and chat:
- Google (Gmail) delivers and stores the emails created when you book a consultation, including the confirmation sent to you.
- Google reCAPTCHA checks that a consultation booking comes from a person, not a bot. It collects information about your device and how you use the page. Its use is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries any chat you start with me. See WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.
- Our hosting provider runs the servers that deliver this site and keeps the technical logs described above.
These providers may process data on servers outside your country. We would also disclose information if the law required us to.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries only as long as we need them to respond to you and, if we work together, for as long as the business relationship and our legal record-keeping obligations require. After that we delete them.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- correct anything that is wrong,
- delete your information, or
- stop using it, where we rely on your consent.
Email hello@prakashsoni.com and we will reply within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the GDPR, including the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and booking requests go straight to email; they are not stored in a database on this site. No method of sending information over the internet is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
Children
This site is meant for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, for example by adding analytics, we will update this page and the date at the top.
